Benelli/Stoger

I was just in sporting goods store and the sales guy was telling the patrons that the Benelli and the Stoger are made in the same factory just different names but the Stoger cost half what the Benelli does. I always though of the Benelli as a high end gun and the Stoger as a low end gun. Can they really be the same gun? They look a little bit alike but I had no idea they are made by and in the same factory. Is this guy full of it?

Guns

As I understand it they are imported to the same place by Benelli not made. I have owned both and make NOOOOO mistake they are not the same gun.

How true that is! I have one of each and I NEVER pick up the Stoeger!

I go for the Bennelli, Beretta, Ithica or Remington!

I saw

a TV special awhile back - Bennelli gun barrells are made by Beretta - the show didn't mention Stoger.......

After seeing that the barrells for Bennelli are made by Beretta I wondered to myself why Bennelli seems to be "THE" gun by bird hunters??

Stoeger

a good friend of mine has been looking at getting a stoeger 2000 and after looking at a few I understand they are made in Turkey and imported by benelli. They have the rights to use the same inertia recoil and same rotating bolt head as benelli and they are over seen by benelli. Benelli also imports Franchi. Franchi is made in Italy and benelli over sees there production as well. I don't know where beretta plays in this love triangle but I know they have some ownership in benelli and they are the reason benelli is sold in America. The one on here that would know more about this is Mike Philips.

I had a Stoeger o/u 12 gauge and brand new out of the box it would fire both barrels with one pull of the trigger. I took it back to the gun shop where I bought it and the gunsmith called me a liar. So, I told him to load it up and try it out. A few minutes later, I had my refund. The Stoeger that I had was definitely not in the same league as Beretta or Benelli.

Beretta,Imports Benelli, and owns Stoeger,Sako and Franchi. Benelli is the Impoter for Stoeger and Franchi.
Stoger 2000 are made in Tuyrkey. They are a good gun for the price, but there is no way they are in the same class of a Beneiil

I would like to know what to yall makes say the cheap models not the fancey wood and stuff were talkin synthetic stocks a benelli or beretta say any better thana stoeger or other brands that are made or imported by the same manufacturer dont you think beretta and benelli have standards that all guns have to meet before thay will be asociated with there name on it i posted earlier ive got a $200.00 pump called an escort all camo 12 ga and it feels and shoots better than my $1600.00 beretta silver pigeon my son would rather hunt with the cheap one just wanted yalls thoughts. Besides the name recognition and saying i own a benelli or beretta.

Difference

Ford,Chevy or Kia. They all will get you there but you choose how you want to ride. Bennelli,Beretta or Remington or (insert your favorite). They will all get the job done but what feels good in your hands and how long will they last. All that being said I own 2 Beretta shotguns and 1 Benelli and have more problems with the Super Black Eagle than my Xtrema or my 391 put together.
