Best time and weather for geese

So what’s the best weather for geese ? Rainy sunny ? Just started hunting geese from ducks and not having much luck. Is field hunting better or on the water.

The best time to hunt them early is when they're coming to the spot you're set up in. Weather don't much matter. They'll normally leave the roost (water) to feed in the mornings so fields for sure. If you don't have geese using a spot, you won't have much luck at that spot. Like the pro staffers call "running traffic", that doesn't work very well for residents. They generally go where they are headed, a flock of dekes won't change much too often. Main reason for decoys here if to make em take their minds off the layout blinds or make em more comfortable to come back after you shot em 2 weeks ago
