Birthday Cobia

Took a little birthday trip to Chesapeake Bay to throw for Cobia, ended up with 6; 50", 46", 42" x 2, 40", 36"; caught a bunch of Spanish Mackerel & a few Blues too. Thanks Salt Treated Sportfishing for a great day!

Never knew the cobes got that far North...though NC was their upper limit. Good eats right there.

They come up to SW of the bay (Seaford, VA) to spawn.

Awesome catch with the ling/cobia.

One of my all time favorite eating fish.

Would love to have a freezer full of them.

Im missing the chesapeake bay. its the breeding grounds for cobia. Sight casting bowed up Jigs to them is so much fun and Salt Treated is one of the best guys to go with. You didnt see any bull reds they been thick lately

I did not, but day before I fished they had a video of 1/2 acre school of Red's w/ Cobia on edges.
