Do any of you older hunters have trouble picking out blood when wearing your bifocals? I just can't seem to pick out blood like I used to. Just curious.
I have found better quality binoculars that will focus down to a few feet to be excellent for finding scarce blood spots.
They require fairly bright light, but they do work.
I don’t do much as good as I used to....
The good news is that being patient and employing better light and cheater reading glasses ($8 Walmart 1.0 readers) things are improved nicely.
Flashlights keep getting brighter, smaller and cheaper.
I have used a spray bottle of peroxide before while tracking the drag of a poached deer. Bubbles up on the blood. It took me much further than I got without it.
