I am thinking about rigging my 16 foot duracraft jon boat up so that I can bowfish with it over the summer. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this for cheap. Thanks in advance

Also, what is a good bow for cheap that I could look into buying.

Just get a few shop lights and a genny. Will see more fish than you can ever shoot. You can get you a pse discovery for a good price and will be one of the best bang for bucks you can buy in bowfishing

x2 I agree with upsouth. Just find some halogens on sale and modify the base/stands to clamp onto your boat. Grab a genny from tractor supply(350 bucks) and get yourself a bow setup. I prefer the AMS retrievers while a lot of folks use big zebcos or the like.

I use a AMS because I can't mount a spin cast to my bow.
