I've only been a member for a month. You guys really got me fired up for the season. I'm on a call-buying rampage!!!!!!! Now that I've bought " a few" new calls, how do I keep 'em working . Box call sanding/chalking? Slate, glass, aluminum, etc. conditioning. Even striker care? I know you guys do it all. How 'bout some helpful tips on proper way to keep up with all this! I guess I could just buy new ones every year, but I'd have to find a new place to lie my head at night (know what mean?). :whip:

Don't use sandpaper on your box calls ! Use a little piece of a Scotchbrite pad and lightly scuff the chalk off of the lid and soundboard, then reapply chalk to the lid only. You can also use the same pad to scuff the end of your strikers and to freshen up your slate calls.

I soak my mouth calls with 50/50 mouthwash/water for half an hour; rap is paper towel; put in sandwich bag seal and store them in the fridge. Use my mouth calls year after year…
