Chasing rainbows

Planned on fishing a stream early today that I hadn't fished this year. I was bummed when I got to the parking spot to find three trucks and a tent pitched. Drove about half mile back down the stream and parked. Walked to the stream and started fishing.

First couple trout where on the small side but still beautiful.


Ended up catching a few that where around 10"


Including this beautiful speck. Had to watch for this nasty stinging nettle.

Beautiful creek, and some beautiful fish! Nice speck, too! And yeah, it seems like everywhere you find specks, you find plenty of stinging nettle lining the creekbanks. Hate that stuff.

Thanks everyone, I am truly blessed to live 15 minutes +/- from a number of streams like this that have a decent number of wild trout. It makes for some great days without traveling far.
