Cheap Guns, Cheap Scopes = Big Fun...

Did a little work at the backyard range this morning, sighting in a couple El Cheapos...

First up was my ATI Omni/Bear Creek Arsenal .350L AR. Bought during Trump, I have a grand total of $360 in this thing, including the brand new little Tasco World Class 2-8x32 from 2003 that I ebayed up.

Next was the youth sized 10-22 I got a month or so back for The Kid and Little Brother to begin learning the use of an automatic. It got a Simmons Pro something or other 2.5x20 that I found languishing and dust covered in a gun store. Been there for a dozen years, the guy said, and he took $40 for it...

I like the 90's-early 2000's Phillipine scopes, because at that time, they were actually BETTER than you were paying for. If you know what you are looking at, you can pay $40 for scopes that you have to spend $200-300 to improve on today.

After a few walk-ins with each, the little AR busted three snuff cans in a row at 100, and the 10-22 fed the birds today shooting corn cobs at 50.

All shooting was done off sandbags, at my ol rickety table.

Not very scientific, but effective, and fun.

And no huge expectations of having spent a ton of money on them.
