Come on baby..... do tha twist!! twist question??

I recently piked up a T/C white mountain carbine 50 cal.
It has a 21" or 22" barrel depending on the way you measure it. I'm finding some conflicting info on the net about the # of twists in the barrel does anybody out there know for sure?

Measure it. Stick your ramrod with a couple of patches for a tight fit down the bore. Hold a tape measure against the muzzle and pull the rod out. When it makes one complete turn..you'll know. If you have a slow twist, you might only get a 1/4 turn or so. You can do the math from there.
