I went out this morning to our property just outside of Newnan. I saw lots of scratchings, tracks, and droppings but not the first gobble. Anybody else around Coweta Co hearing much gobbling?

I had this same exact problem on my Morgan County land last year. Scratchings everywhere and tracks all in the roads but every morning I went to listen I heard nothing. In fact, I never heard a gobble until Sunday morning of opening weekend last year. Don't worry, they are there just a little late getting started.

went out back this morning at 7:30 and had 2 gobbling. got out of there so they won't be too educated before next weekend. prolly not hunting till April 2nd so I'll be hunting "smart birds" anyway. so I shoulda stayed to see what showed up cause they was coming. will be behind a camera on the 2nd hopefully filming a successful hunt.
