Deer and railroad tracks

Do deer have trouble crossing railroad tracks that are built up on large balast beds? Like if the rock size is larger, they're piled up along the tracks raising the track height, rocks have a lot void space, are not all stable and can shift, etc.

I'm thinking they won't like walking on or crossing a set of tracks like that.

Tracks supported on smaller gravel bases, I don't think deer would bothered, just the tracks supported on ground hat's more challenging.

One place I hunt, railroad tracks are the southern border. Mixture of large and small stone about 10 feet up from surrounding ground. I've watched every type of animal you can think of walk across and up/down the tracks. Doesn't bother them one bit. Turkeys like to use it as a strut zone. Deer use it a a escape route
