Euharlee Etowah Ramp

I know the Etowah has been crazy this year, with the rain and the resumption of power generation. Water levels have been all over the place and the flow has very often been in the "oh no, not me" zone. But, what is the deal with the ramp at the Euharlee bridge? I have not been past it in recent memory when the gates were not locked. Granted, most times I have been over the bridge of late, the water was nasty.

My question is, are they closing the ramp for safety reasons or is there something else going on? I notice that some other ramps on the river remain open, regardless of water conditions.

Send the city an email or FB message. I had to do that last year when they didn't have the gate open in the morning, turned out someone "Forgot" to unlock it.
