On select WMA’s with a rifle yes, check the regs and look to see if it states the WMA is closed for hog/coyote hunting. If it does not state the WMA is closed for this special “season” then it is open. That is my understanding.
All of em are open, unless it specifically says no coyote feral hog season in the wma info. Most all of em are open for itOk so maybe im "special" but i cant find the reg or the WMAs that are open to the "extended pig season"
Tuesday I was sure that I was on a big noisy hog in a creek bottom. put the sneak on him only to see a guy crossing the creek with no orange, all decked out in camo..... he must not have got the memo. This is correct!! Wear orange and go get some bacon!
You sign in? Tried online, and it wouldn’t let me. Went by the check station and some DNR ladies researching bat acoustics had to find the sheet for me. I left it outside in case anyone else tries to sign in. It was extremely hot Weds evening. Saw deer, hen with poults, no pigs, and my go to spot was pretty thin on sign.I spent all day Tuesday along the river and creeks in Ocmulgee. 7 hours hiking and it was awefully hot! Lots of fresh sign but I didn't find any pigs. I found a good spot along the river with a bit of a high spot overlooking a creek bottom and wallo. I think I will sit and watch that spot tomorrow morning and pull out around 11 am unless there is some action.

There was no sign in at Paulding forest last week.... honestly I don't think they require for this cull huntI was unable to sign in online and there was noone at the check station.
Does Ocmulgee require a hunter to sign in and/or check in? Looking online its hard to tell
From what I've observed very very few participated at 4 local wma'sYou would think they would still want to keep up with folks in the woods. Not sure why the state wouldn’t be interested in how many people are participating in these hunts.
It’s a busy time of year. I’ve only had time to make it out twice. School is out, and it’s hotter than ****.From what I've observed very very few participated at 4 local wma's
