We went to the area by the causeway at Jekyll Island to get ours on a warm, sunny afternoon. They were out in large herds on the sandy areas. Took us about 30 mins to catch around 500.

This is how I get mine. The trick is having a warm enough day to get them out and about. I go down with a flat blade shovel and just scoop them into a bucket.

I keep them alive and use them the next time I go out. Damp newspaper, a little seawater and a can of cat food will keep them for a week or more.
