I remember seeing the FD train while in the service where they would set a metal plane on fire put it out then do it again next time training was due.
What did they use for the fuel to simulate or make the plane burn??? I wasn't in the FD so I have no idea, just wondering if it was JP4 or something along those lines

Many, but probably not all, use propane.

Most departments use propane, pallets and every once in awhile they’ll use diesel if they want to do a flammable liquids class.

Pallets are wood. Cheap wood. But not a loss to set on fire for a demo.
