Food plot

Here's a picture of my food plot that I plant every year. Six 100 yard long rows of white corn and a similar size strip of black oil sunflowers. Cost about 10 dollars plus couple gallons fuel. Deer like young sunflowers. You know about corn. Turkeys and doves seem to like them too.

The deer on my farm never let the sunflowers get that big. They eat them up way before they can make a flower.

So....do you leave it standing thru the winter or when do you plow it up to put in a fall/winter crop?!?

I knock corn over after I gather enough seed for next year's crop leaving stalks just off the ground . Then leave the field alone until late winter. I plant green winter stuff in another field.
