Made a lap in my local lake from 1pm - 4pm. Caught 2 on a red shad worm. Used to be some real giants in this lake, but I'm afraid anglers have pulled them out. I haven't caught anything BIG in awhile. Every time I leave, there are people fishing the dam with live bluegill and keeping bass. It's supposed to be artificial only catch and release.

Private lake rules? Or is it a public lake? Prob DNR-WRD doesn't fool will private lake rules - too busy on public waters. So if the rules have no clout and no enforcement, there are folks who are going to bend them every time. I notice a large segment of our Asian immigrants are big on keeping everything they catch and do not assimilate our values. Add them to the usual law-breaking trash, and its a recipe for over fishing.

Yes it's private but public can fish it with a mountain park fishing permit. Yeah there's no enforcement.
