Glo Bug Fly Patter with pom pom's from Michael's

If I bought some yellow and pink small pom pom balls from Michael's Crafts store. Do you think they would work to make a glo bug fly pattern?

I would think the better question would be why wouldn't they work.

Very True. I have never used them before. My wife was at Michael's and I was looking for items that would work in fly tying also.

Would you do them weightless or add a bead?

The pink ones should work well on stocker rainbows. You need some weight in the fly, or split shot on the line, one. Lead wire on the shank under the ball should work, or a pink tungsten bead.
