What a delightful perspective...

While walking out the door on your way into the world
this morning, did you think, “Here I go; God’s sacred
mobile home into the day”? No? Well, if you did, you’d be
right. Consider the following: “Don't you know that you
yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in
you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16

See, sacred-mobile-homey? It’s true. God did it, and
that's what He thinks of you.

I think that if He did not go with me wherever I go, I could not go!!!

The other thought I have is this chorus:

When we all get to heaven
What a day of rejoicing that will be
When we all see Jesus
We'll sing and shout the victory!

We have the deposit of the Spirit living in us yet there is that day that we will see Jesus, and the wonders that God has prepared for us will be fully known! Imagine!

If it feels like you’re laboring to get your life right and to
get God’s big thumbs up, earning His approval, then
remember that He does not invite you to work but to rest.
You’re His work, His workmanship, and you’re not
obligated to God, as though grace created debt. That
would mean you’ve got to pay Him back by earning your
keep, which earns His work. That’s a wage, not a gift, and
God has nothing to do with that. Grace pays debt!
Always. Every time.

Besides, if you fail at even one point to earn something
from God, let alone a thumbs up from Him, that’s sin. And
what are the wages of sin? I bet you know, but you’re
not meant for that. He is done with all of that, and so are
you! Get out of there. You don’t want wages, so come
back to free. That’s what He likes, too.

Trust that the gift of God is received and enjoyed through
believing He has given everything to you in Christ for
free. He has rigged it! (See Romans 4.) Aren’t you glad?
He loves it when we simply believe that He gave it all—
everything we need for life and godliness (Ephesians 1:3;
2 Peter 1:3,4)—and we find rest as a result.

You and I can live from there. That’s the plan. (This is a

'see'/know/understand our true identity in Christ, we
suffer the tyranny of exhausting religious self effort.

Rom 6 is a fav chapter of mine, I like these gems ...
17 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of
sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of
teaching to which you were committed,
18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of
righteousness.

And, isn't this synonymous with "pressing into the kingdom"?

Oh...yes!
What do we have that we did not receive?
And, if we did receive it...

Our brother Paul suffered the many things he was appointed to, not the least of which was a vexing in heart of how man...even "saved" man could be led away into the weeds. Those to whom he poured himself out (in the work of Christ, and through Christ's work in him) so easily and quickly returned to weak and beggarly elements. This thing to "repay"...to make a show of having earned a status that the self delights in...must indeed be so very strong and almost unconquerable. Ubiquitous.

Oh! How this compelled him again and again to look into Christ! To see there, to find there, to apprehend there (to which the surety of faith drove him in knowing) "how, where, in what form was this thing conquered in Jesus Christ????" How was this thing that wants to say to God "See, I am worthy of a "thumbs up"! ever laid to rest in all its striving to get it?

Oh! The perfect beauty and simplicity of it. Dear Paul, blessed Paul (once poor Saul) now so very rich...Paul! Driven, driven, driven...even by what remained of a life so steeped in religious devotion, himself...was appointed to salvation.

Oh! How it must have tried him! "How can a gift...become a burden?" And of such burdensome and dreadful weight that the eyes are dulled, the senses overwhelmed, the joy of salvation be turned to a prideful arrogance that joy and liberty are so disdained as to become a source for reviling? (Do we doubt Paul must have wondered "How could we have missed the Christ..."? How could we (as Jews)...not seen our Maker, hear His words...to the point of crucifying?)

Yes! The rigging of it! It was appointed to be so! The plan...of mercy!
Mercy cannot be seen...or even shown...to anything that seeks to stand in the place of merit. Something must be made so inexorably and abundantly clear as their can be no denying it, that God not be denied...His absolute delight in showing mercy! To a thing that needs it from the One who delights in giving it...and this despite all of that things efforts to arrange its place of merit so that it might "feel" worthy of it!

Ahhh! The perfection! Ahhh, the patience of it! The forbearing in it!

Is it then a wonder why he wrote:
"If while seeking to be justified by Christ I find myself a sinner..."?
How deep is Christ's conquering! How utterly unfathomable are the depths to which the love of God drove him to unseat in man...the very thing that relentlessly torments a man in all failing and frustration "I must make myself to be like God".

And he learned, as are we all...it's done for us, not by us...and a witness is not at all required to testify of himself to his own faithfulness, of his own goodness, of his own worthiness to even be a witness...just to what he has seen...in another.
