Good Knapping Stone

I found a very small piece of stone the other day and it made a right purty point. Anybody know what this stuff is?

It looks kinda like Turkey Creek chert. Did you find it local?

You did a fine job on the point. It looks nice!

Of course I don't have a clue what kind of chert it is but it sure is purdy.:)

Looks like a cross between "Twiggs County Jasper" and "Southeastern Costal Plains Chert". Real pretty rock and point. There are so many variations in the stone found around Albany, ain't much way to tell. In which direction from Albany did ya find it?
