Took my new Marlin 1895G out for the first time.Started out shooting a little low at 50yds.Raised the rear sight up and fixed that problem but it seems to shoot to the right about 4in.Whats the best way to bring the impact to the left on those kind of sights?Don,t really want to scope the gun.

Move the rear sight the opposite direction. Use a small hammer and a brass drift. It doesn't take much. This is how you sight in dovetail mounted iron sights.

which XS Ghost Ring sight did you buy? ML-0013-5?

there are videos on their site. It has windage screws on the sight. You loosen one side up to move the ring up or down for vertical and if you need to adjust windage you loosen one screw and tighten the other.

Do you want a 50 yd zero or 100 yard zero? You probably want it about .75 high at 50 to be close to 0 @ 100 if you are running 1850 fps

This, except you need to bring the back sight to the left to make it shoot left, instead of moving it in the opposite direction.

If the gun is shooting right move the sight left.

sorry...thought you ordered XS stuff and were adjusting it. Not sure I would bother since you are going to change the front sight with the new ring.

the marlin rear is 2 piece, the dovetail and the tang. The tang is riveted to the dovetail make sure you use a brass punch so you don't bugger up the tang and cause it to come apart. Don't hit it directly with the hammer you may miss and hit the stock.

Move it in the opposite direction like rayjay or NChillbilly described

You always move the rear sight in the direction that you want the bullet to go.

If you are using an adjustable front sight, you move the sight in the opposite direction direction that you want the bullet to go.
