Help with starting with making pens

Anyone have experience making pens? I have been watching videos and want to do some work with leather, and also making pens. I am looking to find someone that can tell me what all I need to get started. I know I need a lathe and some lathe tools - but what else is really needed to make my first few pens from pen blanks? Any help is greatly appreciated!
