"John Wayne"5 1/2 yr old the wide one, he was missed last year with a bow. "Crab claw" 3 1/2 the one in the daylight pic with him , I had multiple encounters with this guy last year. I have some good video of this deer, as much as he comes around it will be hard to keep our kids from taking this guy to the taxidermy!!! The last set of pics is of "the split G2 buck" no on the hoof encounters, but we have just missed him several times. Say would start to go to a particular stand, change your mind to go somewhere else and he would show up at the stand you decided against. He has been lucky so far, hopefully one of my members or myself will get an opp at this guy this year. My neighbor on the adjacent piece of property is very much on the same page as we are, which really helps in letting those nice 2 1/2 yr and 3 yr olds pass to grow up. I do have a spot available for a seasoned hunter ready to hunt some nice ga bucks. PM in interested.

GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE GENTLEMEN!!!!!!!!

IT IS KILLIN' ME!!!!! We were not planning on going until next weekend, we had a camera quit on us on the 14th of June. So it will be 5 weeks since an updated pic of John wane and the crab claw buck. We are also going to turn some dirt in prep for the fall plots. HERE WE GO!!!!!! It will be here before we know it!!

It depends on who is in the stand , and which deer walks by. At our place "it is a trophy in the eyes of the hunter in stand". Its hard for me to hold people to what I consider a trophy deer, every hunter is differ regardless of what you have shot in the past. We have people in the club (MY Father) for example, who has never killed a "wall hanger", plenty of bucks just none he deemed mountable. With that being said we do have a limit on how small the deer can be, there is no money fine or such. Basically if you kill a deer under the limit that has been set, you loose the opportunity for a second buck at the club. You guys know how it is when you have a group of hunters , it takes a while to work out the kinks in a set of rules. differ strokes for differ folks!! GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE GUYS!!!!!
