hogs and 410 shotgun during small game season

From the regs:

SMALL GAME & FURBEARER FIREARMS:
Rifles and Handguns: Any .22-cal. or smaller
rimfire, air rifle, or any muzzleloading firearm.
Shotguns: Any having shot shell size 3.5
inches or smaller in length with No. 2 or
smaller shot.
Shotguns (Waterfowl): Any 10-gauge
or smaller loaded with federally approved
nontoxic shot of size “F” or smaller. Lead
shot may not be in possession while hunting
waterfowl.

It appers that 410 is legal, but 410 slugs aren't allowed for hogs during small game season?

kind of depends on the warden. i had one tell me that since a 410 wasnt a legal big game weapon that any load was legal. then another one quoted the regs about the #2 or smaller thing. the regs state #2 shot or smaller, which is not what i want to face a200+ lb boar with
