Just returned home after a couple weeks on the road and I was itching to hit the pond..Based on my last time out, when I hooked-up with a roughly 5lb carp (on my 4wt.), I decided to string up my 8wt..Using a similar streamer/bucktail that enticed the carp, I was able to bring this spot to hand..Not terribly big, but very feisty.. It sure was nice having a bend in the rod again..

Nice catch. I bet the little bass put up a fight. Caught my first first on a fly rod yesterday. Caught a little warmouth on a hopper.

Yeah that spot may not have been the biggest bass in the pond, but he sure acted like he was..That warmouth was probably a blast too!
