Anybody board your horses or board for someone else ?
We’re looking at the possibility of buying a farm with stables and was
Wondering if there is any money to be made with the stables and pasture.
Curious to the going rate.

Thanks,

Most boarders use the money to offset the costs of their own horses. Depending on the size of the farm and the location you might be able to make a buck or 2 with lessons/boarding.

Best thing you could do is rent your stall and pasture space, with no other services. Let the boarders do the daily care of their critters. Otherwise, you will be a slave to horses that you don't own. It will rule your life.

I have a good friend that does it.
She makes 6 figures. But it is a lot of work.
She boards @ 500.00 month and lessons @ 45 to 60 hr.
Mostly little girls riding english.
She does summer camps and takes her student to shows very often.

Would you need insurance in case a horse got out or died on your property?

we have had a couple of big places open down here to board horses, they are now both empty fields of weeds.
