I was almost out of light when this young boar decided to show himself. I could hear him in the brush about 40 yards away, but he was working his way past me. I just kept easing along until I could tell he was starting to turn my way. At 30 feet, the 10mm took the legs right out from under him.
On that particular pig I used Federal Trophy Bonded 180 gr. JSP. The reflex sight is a Trijicon 3 moa and the only upgrade besides the finish is the trigger. The trigger was upgraded to a McNalley simply because I hate the way the original eats into my finger. It’s also adjustable so you can clean up the reset and creep a little.
Nice pig , congrats ! Horse creek has a special place in my soul .... I killed my first buck there 33 years ago , haven’t hunted it in a few years but not many places I haven’t stomped around on it over the years
