how much should I pay to lease small acreage?

Found someone with just under 70 acres of wooded land in middle Georgia that would lease it out. I'm going to talk with her next week on a price. How much should I pay to lease for the upcoming deer season?

If she sets a price then you pay that.

If you have to set the rate ask yourself if it’s what you want from a lease? Location, game population, access, etc

If so I would offer above average rates to assure you aren’t rooted out in a year or two.
$15 an acre would be a good offer

Up here in NE Ga the 2 people I’ve spoken to want around 20-30 an acre. They know the supply vs demand on small acreage around here. People are paying it too. It is what it is.

$9 is the low end, high teens would be high. I'd start at $8 and only go as high as necessary. They always try to raise it based on some rumor of someone getting higher from someone from FL.

I pay $16.50 an acre for 79 acres in North Georgia.

$1000 for 84 ac. in taliaferro co. and only about 1.5 ac is huntable right now but that 1.5 sure is exciting
