Inshore of Sunbury

Has anyone had any luck fishing inshore west of Sunbury in areas like Dutchman's bay, Buttermilk Sound, or anywhere in Jones Creek towards Ilse of Wight in Midway, GA or do you have to get closer to St. Cats Sound to get on the fish?

I am no expert. I have fished these areas for 35 years. This time of year I usually catch Whiting and Sharks . Later in the year I will target Reds and Trout.
I went out last Saturday and only caught a few Whiting and 8 Bonnet Heads. The reason I say I am not an expert with so many years. Many boats come in with more than I do.
