Thanks Jocko, I usually use 12lb mono so I don’t horse them. As for the lake, yes it is a great spot but it’s been fished for over 40 years with regular pressure so i think it’s a good balance of fun and challenge. It can get tough, it’s carpeted with hydrilla and can get gin clear quick if it doesn’t rain.
