Was used on another thread, just wondered what it means?

Luke 6:37
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;

It's all related to loving our enemies and forgiving others. For us to be merciful like our Father is merciful.

We are not judged by Christ because of being IN Christ, not because we have a wonderful record of not judging. The Luke 6 admonition is a pre-cross impossibility to a Jewish community who loved law & merit chasing more than the Lord who would soon die for them - and us. Those who are receivers of that once for all finished sacrifice will never be judged for their sins again. Now that's a grace motivation to do likewise ?
