Yeah it’s strange, had one do the same thing on one of my security cameras at the house. Although I really think he wanted to perch on the one at the house.

Got a few around the house occupying nest boxes and one that always builds a nest on the front door wreath.

Cool birds for sure, one of my favorites along with mockingbirds which are now starting to duke it out for their nesting territory.
