Out today on a half day trip with two clowns...what a fun time in the rain! Brian and his 79 yr old brother in law, John, who is in from Denver, CO visiting, wanted to hit the water.
Now - headed out in a sprinkle....had to pull under a dock for a little while...but these two were troopers! I concentrated in a creek most of the morning....Brian and I got John up in the back fishing chair (I joked with John and told him I was going to velcro him in tight)....and we went to fishing a shakey head. Naturally - Brian boats a fish after about 5 minutes fishing.
Man, they loved Amy Gill, Herring, Bruised Tomato, and Natural Shad today...I mean, we missed as many as we caught and had a couple break our lines! I will tell you - seeing John reel in a fat spot made me smile. I think his comment was "wow, these things fight!"
Ended the morning with 8 in the boat with some good ones including one hammer - which was great since we pulled under a dock for a while - just a fun time and let me tell you, these two not only had me laughing with jokes, but the trash talking was impressive
John heads back to Denver next Thursday...but we've already made plans to go back out on Monday. LJ
