Mama's chicken stew

H22 made a big pot of my Mama's chicken stew on this cold rainy day. Used canned home grown maters. Along with soda crackers and some bread-n-butter pickles we put up. I'm warm now!

I can't give the whole recipe. Only my family knows it. It's got shredded chicken, broth chicken was boiled in, onion, home grown canned maters, cream corn and H22 puts celery in his. Add the special sauces(you all have them in your pantry) simmer for 3 to 4 hours.

Oh yeah , looks delicious . I cook something similar , found recipe in Paula dean’s cookbook I think . Boil chicken , debone , add tomatoes, cream corn, ketchup, bbq sauce, Worcestershire and I like okra in mine . Delicious and easy . Potatoes sometimes also
