We are looking for two members for a new club in Clinch County. Our property is 950 acres and borders the Okeefenokee Refuge...if you are looking to take a bear, we have TONS of them. Hogs and turkeys are also very plentiful. This is our first year and we are seeing quite a few deer, and a really good pipeline of deer in the 2-2.5 year old range that are already 8’s but need another year or so to be shooters. We don’t think the property was properly managed due to the amount of does we are seeing (I saw 18 opening morning of bow season). The property consists of planted pines, clear cuts, hardwood hammocks and wetlands. It also has a couple of deep ponds that hold water year round. We believe the property has excellent potential based on what we are seeing. We have seen a few nice 10’s that are in the 110-115 class range.

We planted soybeans and peas in April and have plans to do winter plots in the next few weeks. We have also ran feeders and protein supplements since we took over in April.

We have a nice gated campsite with 200 amp power, cleaning rack and a pump. Our campsite is about 2 miles to our lease (it’s in the same road and can be reached by side by side) The well isn’t operational so we are utilizing the existing pump and pressure tank and pumping water out of 275 gallon holding tanks to pressurize our campers. We installed all new 50 amp boxes and water connections for each location. We also have plans for an outdoor shower and screened in patio/grill area.

Our goal is to keep the club small, with 4 total membership moving forward. A membership would be your spouse and children under the age of 18 that are still living in the home. Kyle and I both have small children, so we are all about having the kids around camp. We are ok with having a few drinks in moderation but drunkenness and the use of drugs will not be permitted. The cost of the lease is $8500 per year, so the cost would be $2125 per membership, plus shared costs for food plots and the camp electric. Each membership is allowed two private stands and use of the club stands to be used on a pin system. Yes, the cost is more than some of the places that hunt 1 hunter per 60 acres and worry about getting shot or never see a deer due to the pressure. We don’t operate like that and want a safe, pressure free lease. I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for.

Each membership can take 2 bucks 8 pts or better outside the ears and two does. If we need to take a few more does off the property we can take an additional 4 more if needed. Hogs can be hunted year round and turkeys during the spring. We are located in Florida and any potential memberships must be 2 hours away minimum...we don’t want someone up hunting everyday after work.

We are going to be picky about who we let in. We have all been on clubs with bad apples in the past who either can’t follow the rules, help out with off season tasks or have to track down for their portion of the power bill.If you would like more information, I can be reached at 352-613-0587
