Monitor problem HELP

My computer monitor has suddenly narrowed to an hourglass shape with about 3-1/2 '' of black screen on each side and everything is distorted.It a KDS flat screen tube type thats only about 1-2 yrs old.I have tried all the adjustments, restore and so forth.Is this thing shot .Idid get the full screen back for a few min.last week before I went hunting I think when I restarted it. But it gos right back.

Un-install the monitor and re-install and see if this will do it.

Tony, try what Jim said and if that doesn't work, lay off the juice a little before turning the monitor on...

Where do I go to uninstall the monitor.I have to have specific instructions or things go wrong and start smoking.
