Need some prayers from my Woodys friends!

This morning I got up and started to get ready to go to work. Everthing was okay until I bent over. Something spasmed in my back and now my lower back is in severe pain and I cannot hardly move. My doctor called in some muscle relaxers and I have a doctors appointment in the morning with a back specialist in an orthopedic office. I hate being helpless. Pray that God will give this doctor the wisdom to get me well. I hate missing work and am also concerned about hunting of course. Thanks in advance.

Mike, I can sincerely sympathize and emphasize with you. My back was broken when I was a teenager and now it is really catching up with me. I know what it's like trying to find a comfortable position just so I might get some sleep. My prayers are with you.

Prayers to you! I am in the same boat. I had a pain hit me in my left hip right on the bone. I can handle pain pretty good but this was overwhelming, I could not even move my leg to take one more step.

Three visits to my Chiropractor has eliminated about 75% of the pain. Ice, motrin and stretching has keep it bearable but it has really cut into my hunting this year. I did the Orthopedic surgeon, pain pill routine twenty years ago and got no relief from it.

Update, Went to the doctor this morning and the x-rays showed no problems with a slipped disc or anything like that. Yesterday was a 9 on the pain scale and today is about a 4. I am actually a lot better today than I was yesterday so your prayers are working. He said I have a slightly bulging disc which is putting pressure on a nerve and causing the pain. He prescribed some medicine to help keep my inflammation down and some muscle relaxers if I need them. I also have some exercises to do and will take physical therapy for 3 weeks. I will wait to Friday to see if I continue to improve before deciding if I can hunt this weekend. Thanks for your prayers.
