$200-$300.

The last Silver VX ii that I purchased was $300 for a 3x9x40. Now those are selling for over $400 used Rare/Minty and all scratched up. Ebay prices would say that scope retails for over $400 in today's market.

Before you base your decision on Ebay listings, keep in mind that ASKING price and SELLING price are often two different things.

Often the price you'll get depends on your patience and the audience.

Some older buyers like me appreciate the solid construction of the Leupold scopes during that era. We value performing in difficult conditions, holding zero, and lasting for decades above a fancy reticle, the highest possible light transmission, 1/4 MOA click adjustments, and an 80 MOA adjustment range.

Most younger buyers tend to value their desired features over solid construction and longevity and fail to appreciate the greatest feature of the Leupold lifetime warranty is that they'd probably never need it.
