Here are 3 of my first custom turkey box calls I have built. I have tinkered with a very basic field grade box, but always admired the Neil Cost box design,,,which is what these are. These are very challenging with hand tools (especially the checkering). I have a lot of improvement to make, but I enjoy making them. Thanks for looking
Red Cedar lid over Poplar body. Lid has opposing red cedar inlays, and poplar body has red cedar inlays as well.
Walnut lid over wormy Sassafras body. Lid and body both have red cedar inlays.
Walnut lid over poplar body. Lid has poplar inlays and body has walnut inlays.
Here is the lid to the Walnut over wormy Sassafras. I like the way these red cedar lids came out on the Walnut.
