The 93 on the front of my boat blew out of the cradle while going down the lake at 45. I would definitely remove them during transportation and I'm going to be much more cautious going down the lake. I keep both of mine in a boat box for transport.

Everything else though, I love these units.

I thought the same thing about the cradle when I first installed my 93sv, but I take it off at the end of every trip and sometimes it’s all I can do to remove it from the cradle.
