New to Carroll County

Moved in from Ohio and live in Carrollton. Would love to get some insight on waterfowl spots, or someone willing to take someone new to the area. More than willing to put in work and have plenty of decoys and everything that is required for this obsession. Good luck to all out chasing feet down!

Core land and WMAs around Lake Westpoint and the chattahoochee are a good place to start.

Unfortunately ga is Woody heaven. Get up and hold a spot by 430 to wait on a flurry of woodies if you go public. I just can't make myself do it like that anymore. Not here....not for a 10 minute volley. Your best bet is to find a few guys who are willing to take you to some private beaver ponds. There are mallards around, but it's difficult to get them on the public waters. Divers can be shot on big water. I used to work really hard at finding spots and gaining permission around here (coweta and surrounding), but I started heading west several years ago and haven't looked back
