To update everyone, I actually ended up getting some more pictures recently of the deer I thought that I shot. I either didn't kill him, or shot a deer that wasn't the one I thought it was. After searching as much as I did, I'm fairly confident that deer is still alive. I have a plan for dogs now if this ever happens again. Thanks!
