National Rifle Association is taking over the Eastern Sports & Outdoors Show

Apr 16, 2013

When Reed Exhibitions, which owns the Eastern show, canceled this year's event, Haste said, it "was like a stock market crash — our own economy took a crash right there. It had over an $80 million economic impact to our citizens."
Explanation after Feb. 2013 show boycott & cancellation below:

"The whole reason for the boycott was there was someone running the show that obviously was working against the interests and core beliefs of sportsmen — those of us that believe in the Second Amendment," he said.

Some chatter is showing up on social networking sites that the NRA has announced no gun sales at next show. Have they sold guns in the past? Why would the NRA take this position?

I would be surprised if that's true. I can't think of a show I've been to in years where someone wasn't selling guns.

I'm shocked. I don't know what to make of this ATM.

If the show must go on...someone other than the NRA needs to run the show.

So am I. I really do hope he is the first one they come to while he's on a dovefield or chasing quail with his beloved dogs. "Sir, we are taking your guns. We're the guys the woody's members tried to warn you about"

It would be like "whuuuuuuu?????" The look on his face would be priceless. Ohhhh to be a fly on the wall for that one. Life does not offer those types of treasured moments so readily.

Did anyone else cringe when she slamed the cylinder shut on that revolver?
Yeah, guess she was making an attempt to show off.
