Ocmulgee River access

Cam anyone share any advice on how to access the Ocmulgee River at hwy 18. The hwy is posted no parking at the bridge.

I've wondered the same thing. Some nice looking shoals there.

There is an old ramp on the upstream Jones co side. It's tough to get down to now. I guess people get someone to drop them off then walk down the washed out path. Years ago you could get a 4wd truck in and out but not anymore.

You can put in at the Juliette dam as well and float down to popes ferry. The 18 bridge is between the two.
