Old Farm/Juke Joint Pond Recon

Buddy of mine has permission to fish a 7 acre pond on his neighbors 39 acre land tract. After 5 or so years, we finally decided to give it a go and check it out.
Put in at 6pm yesterday. Took out at 845pm. Caught a dink or two. One of my sons caught a dink. List two dunks because they were not big enough to get on the hook good.

5 or 10 minutes before pulling out, I hooked into this old beast. After hardly catching anything for two hours, I was starting to question the fishy-ness of the pond. The pond looked the part but just wasn’t happening for us for the most part.

I didn’t see a lot of bait fish swimming around. We’ll probably give it another go one more time.

Big7

The Oracle
A seven acre lake without much pressure should have fish.

If you were catching dinks and that one good one, there has to be more.

In this heat, you'd prolly do better right at daylight and right at dark.

I'd almost bet there are some Catfish in there too and they eat good.

I did catch that big one around 8:20 or 30 pm.

I caught the one in this attached pic across the road from his house in another farm pond about 6 yrs ago. We never went back for some reason but we will soon.

There is 8-10” of fish still in the water in that one pic!
