Question about fishing the hooch

Me and a buddy are making a trip to Atlanta Sunday. Since we're going to be right at Cumberland mall is there a spot that anyone could recommend for wade fishing such as Thornton shoals or white water creek? We will be flyfishng and maybe throw some ultralight spinning if it doesn't pan out.

Think with all the rain the river is running too high for wading.
Was up there visiting over Christmas water looked mighty fast at Paces Ferry.

Hooch is at 10 ft. right now. No wading bruh.

Catch a day when they aren't releasing and the rains let up and the DAM should be fishable. Clear as glass right now, too. I'm never sure if that makes it easier or harder to catch them.

Went today since we were already there. The Corp volunteer was extremely rude and harassed us so little fishing was done.

Because they were closing the park in 30 minutes. Instead of letting us know and moving on the lady started to follow us and told us the same thing over and over even though we tried to walk away.
