Rabbit habitat

Hi everyone. I'm looking to help out my local rabbits. I had an area cleared and want to make some rabbit hide outs/ nesting areas. I leave a lot of brush/limb piles around but was thinking of using wire fencing to make like a little cave that can grow up with weeds, grass, clover or honey suckle etc. Do yall think the rabbits would use them or is it a waste of time/effort? I ask because last year I found 2 nests (by accident) while mowing. Both were in tall grass/clover but just kind of in the open.

Stop mowing let it all grow brushy, plant food plots make loosely stacked brush piles. Rabbits are the easiest to manage for
