Rabbit problem?

We have 2 or 3 rabbits that hang around the end of the driveway. They will just sit there about 40 feet in front of the dog lot while all the beagles are snoozing. We lost our best dog to old age the other day (14). When I turn the pups out on the rabbits the rabbit makes about two good strides and dives in a hole. I know it is to hot for a rabbit box this time of year. What would be the best way to trap one of these rabbits since our best dog is dead?

Might try a wire, live trap, as I been catching a few with some

off these type traps, and bait them with apples. I have also been catching squirrels, and yesterday caught a big old mean looking Ground Hog!

Good Luck.
