: What are the pros and cons on a Ruger 45acp? I was thinking of one for personal protection.

When you say personal protection, if you mean a pocket gun or CCW, it may be a little on the big side.

Was thinking of carrying it in shoulder holster. For the most part it would be in the house and vehicle.

I sure like my Ruger p-97
it's not too large to carry if needed i use a paddle type holster with mine and it's not too heavy or bulky
