Hooked On Quack
REV`REND DR LUV
Headed to the Satilla River fishing club at the end of the month. Any tips on the fishing there ??
For the redbellies and such...Put a cricket on a number 6 blue hook.....and small split shot a foot up from that.....bump him across the bottom casting to the banks....just ease the boat along down the banks at a easy casting distance from bank and stay quiet.....find a pocket of them....fishem....then ease on down the river once they play out there. Spin dandies of all colors work ok....try one with a cricket on it as well. Getting hung up is part of it....hense the blue hooks....easier to straighten to get your rig back.... Get fast at re rigging when you break off....it happens. Little trial and error or alot....reading the river and starting to figure were the big boys hang out....then Start putting them on ice lol

Go a day early. Because everyone will say "You should have been here yesterday. They were on fire."
You won't do well at all unless I'm invited.
Fished yesterday done decent for first time there Plenty of stump knockers on the satilla spin most redbreasts came on cricket under a cork drifted down the bank will be going back
Branging the Red Head ???
Stop by Winges Bait and Tackle in Waycross and pick up some Satilla Spins. The Redbreast love them and crayfish colour seems to be on fire right now. Other bait shops in the area carry them as well.
Went this past weekend. River was pretty low. Made it hard to get around. And the fishing was slow.
My first and last trip to the Satilla River Club, no AC, got bit by brown recluse, ended up with 10 redbreast, 4 warmouth, 1 bass, 1 crappie.
Sounds like a really fun time!!My first and last trip to the Satilla River Club, no AC, got bit by brown recluse, ended up with 10 redbreast, 4 warmouth, 1 bass, 1 crappie.
